Our Commitment
Abstract Technology GmbH is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to our website and digital products.
Standards & Compliance
This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, in alignment with the European Accessibility Act (EAA) - Directive (EU) 2019/882 - and the harmonised European standard EN 301 549 v.3.2.1.
Compliance Status
This website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially compliant" means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard. The known limitations are detailed in "Known Limitations" below.
What You Should Be Able to Do
- Zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
- Navigate most of the website using only a keyboard
- Navigate most of the website using a screen reader and speech recognition software (on desktop and mobile devices)
Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, some areas of the website are not yet fully accessible. We are aware of the following issues and are actively working to resolve them:
- Mobile Screen Reader & Speech Recognition: Some accessibility issues exist on mobile devices when using screen readers (e.g. VoiceOver, TalkBack) or speech recognition tools. This includes navigation items that may not behave as expected when collapsed, and some content being read aloud multiple times due to layout structure.
- Colour Contrast: Some colour contrast combinations on the website do not yet fully meet WCAG AA requirements. This particularly affects certain text elements overlaying dark backgrounds. We are working with our design team to address these.
- Image Alternative Text: Some images, including showcase grid images and partner logos, may lack sufficient alternative text descriptions.
- Carousel Component: The blog/testimonial carousel may present accessibility challenges, including delayed reading of card descriptions by screen readers and carousel navigation buttons that need improvement.
- Keyboard Navigation: Some interactive menu elements may not be fully operable via keyboard alone in all cases.
- Form Validation: Error messages in certain forms may not be fully announced by screen readers.
We plan to address these issues as part of our ongoing website improvement process. Fixes are prioritised alongside design and development work.
