An outdated LMS costs more than an upgrade
The Open edX® community publishes a new named release roughly every six months. Each one brings security fixes, new features for authors and learners, and support for current dependencies. Open edX® platform upgrades
We bring your platform from any older release to the current one, release by release, so no database migration is skipped. Custom themes, XBlocks, plugins and integrations are checked and updated along the way. Your platform stays online until the planned maintenance window.
Migrating from one LMS to another
Moving from Moodle, Canvas or Blackboard? We migrate your courses, users and learning data to the Open edX® platform, using our own conversion tooling for Moodle exports. Abstract-Technology architects have run this migration 38 times.
How an upgrade works
Four steps from check to go-live

Assess
We review your customisations, XBlocks and integrations and plan the upgrade path and maintenance window.

Test
The complete upgrade runs first in staging, where enrolment, assessments, certificates, video and the mobile app are tested.
4.
Go-Live
We upgrade production with a rollback plan ready, then monitor performance and logs for 24 to 48 hours.
